Area Information
Perissa is one of Santorini's best beaches. Next to Emporio village a long dark sand endless beach.
A feature that makes Perissa unique (besides the crystal water and the smooth sand) is the fact that is the best protected beach from the summer Aegean winds (called "Meltemia" in Greek). Perissa lies right next to Profitis Ilias mountain, totally protected from the North.

Maria runs Sellada and is amazing host, one of the best we have had. Her advice and demeanour is extremely professional yet friendly and sound. Also compliments to the two daytime bar staff who were also exceptionally friendly. Older male manning bar at night time could smile once in a while. At, literally, the last minute I made a same day reservation at Sellada Beach. When I arrived Maria was so gracious and accommodating. And,even though I arrived well before the posted check in time, she expedited the room prep so that I could access the room early. The place was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The location was great - center of ?beachy? Main Street and adjoining beach access with chaise, umbrellas and food/drink service. As a solo traveler I felt safe and welcomed. Walking along the street, there are quite a lot of choices for eating, drinking and shopping. The hotel is very clean with comfortable bed and pillows.
